pp505 - Cow Horn Chair

The Cow Horn chair is one of the smallest chairs designed by Wegner, but it is a stunning work of art , designed in 1952.The armrests and back are made of two solid pieces, joined together in the middle. Wegner decided that instead of hiding the necessary joint he would rather enhance it and make it a feature. To reach the full effect, Wegner used wood of a contrasting colour. This original idea has become a characteristic trademark for many of Wegner's works.
